ABOUT Diwali special nariyal burfi RECIPE

Different way of coconut barfi with vanilla flavour gives marvellous taste. My own way.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Ghee - 1 tablespoon
  2. Vanilla extract - 1 teaspoon
  3. Turmeric powder - a pinch(optional)
  4. Sugar - 1 cup
  5. Milk - 1 cup
  6. Cashews - 10-12
  7. Grated coconut - 1 and 1/2 cup

Instructions

  1. Take a mixer jar. Add half cup grated coconut and chopped cashew nuts. Grind coarsely.
  2. Take a kadai. Add the above mixture and all the other ingredients except vanilla essence and ghee.
  3. Switch on the flame and keep stirring constantly.
  4. Once the mixture starts leaving the sides of the kadai, add 1 spoon ghee and vanilla essence.
  5. Switch off the flame once the mixture becomes solid mass.
  6. Grease a plate and pour the mixture. Cut into desired shapes once cooled.
  7. If you need hard barfi keep it in refrigerator for 30 more minutes after cooling.
