ABOUT Fish molakittadu RECIPE

This is one of my favourite fish curry.It is very easy to prepare. I learned this recipe from my mother-in-law, who is a master in cooking this recipe. Try this curry with boiled rice--you'll love it.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Fish (any) - 4 pieces
  2. Onion- 2
  3. Tomato - 1
  4. Garlic-4 cloves
  5. Chilly powder - 2 teaspoon
  6. Coriander powder- 2 teaspoon
  7. Turmeric powder- 1/2 teaspoon
  8. Coconut oil- 3 tablespoon
  9. Water - 1 cup
  10. salt - 1 teaspoon
  11. Mustard Seed - 1 teaspoon
  12. Curry leaves- 7-8 nos

Instructions

  1. Chop onions , tomato and garlic
  2. Take a bowl mix the above chopped vegetables with fish
  3. Add chilli powder coriander powder turmeric powder salt curry leaves and mix well
  4. Heat coconut oil in a pan add mustard seeds and cook until they splutters
  5. Add the above mixture and reduce the heat to medium
  6. Cook for about 3-4 minutes and add water and bring this to boil cook till it done ( 10- 12 mins)
  7. Kerala fish curry is ready. Let curry remains in the pan for few hours, allowing all spices to steep into fish
