Choco caramel toffee tartlets

Celebrate the festival of lights with the divine flavours of salted caramel and dark chocolate married to each other in this lovely savoury tartlets.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. For the tartlets :
  2. All purpose flour +wheat flour - 1 cup
  3. Chilled butter-2 tablespoon
  4. Chilled water-2 to 3 tablespoon
  5. Sugar- 1 teaspoon
  6. Salt-1/2 teaspoon
  7. For the caramel :
  8. Sugar - 1/2 cup
  9. Water - few teaspoon
  10. Fresh Cream - 1/2 cup
  11. Butter - 1 tablespoon
  12. Salt two pinch
  13. For the chocolate topping:
  14. Dark chocolate slab- 75 grams
  15. Butter-1 tablespoon
  16. Fresh cream - 3 tablespoon

Instructions

  1. Make a semi soft dough with the first five ingredients and keep to chill for around 15 minutes
  2. Now Take the dough and cut into 4 parts
  3. Press in mini tartlets removing the excess dough
  4. Bake at 180 ° for 15 to 20 minutes
  5. Remove demould and let keep aside
  6. For the caramel take a vessel add the sugar and few teaspoons of water. Keep on medium flame to caramelize. Keep swirling the vessel once or twice in between. Avoid using a spoon.
  7. As it caramalizes remove from fire, add fresh cream and mix
  8. Keep on low flame and mix for few seconds
  9. Now add butter and salt, mix and keep aside
  10. Leave for few seconds and pour on the tartlets leaving space on top for the choco topping/ ganache
  11. For the chocolate ganache take chocolate, butter and fresh cream. Microwave for a minute mixing in intervals and spoon on the tartlets.
  12. Can chill and serve or have right away.
