ABOUT Spinach Dhokla Ring Cake RECIPE

This Spinach Dhokla Cake prepared with urad dal and rice mixture can be prepared for breakfast or supper or whenever you wish to have something light and healthy. Nowadays we easily get ready made batter from market, so making this more simpler.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Urad dal and rice batter(fermented idli batter)- 2.5 cup
  2. Sour curd - 1/2 cup
  3. Spinach puree - 4 tablespoon
  4. White Sesame Seeds - 1 tablespoon
  5. Oil - 2 tablespoon
  6. Chopped Green chillies - 1 to 2
  7. Gunger Garlic paste - 1 tablespoon
  8. Salt to taste
  9. Green liquid food colour - 2 drops
  10. Eno fruit salt - 3/4 teaspoon

Instructions

  1. Take out idli batter in a big bowl and add spinach puree, Sesame seeds, ginger garlic paste, green chillies, colour, salt, oil and curd in the batter. Now add eno fruit salt as well and mix well.
  2. Pour this dhokla better in greased bundt tin or any ring shape tin and spread evenly.
  3. Put the tin in preheated oven and bake it for 25 to 30 minutes at 160C.
  4. After 25 minutes check the cake with help of toothpic if comes clean your cake is ready.
  5. Let it cool down completely for 10 minutes.
  6. De mould the cake on serving plate and cut it and enjoy with curd, green chutney or red chutney.
