Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Maida 2 cups
  2. Ghee for moyan 3 tablespoon
  3. Kasoorimethi , crushed 2 tablespoon
  4. Salt to taste
  5. Water as required to knead the dough
  6. Oil for deep frying

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl put together maida , ghee , kasoorimethi and salt
  2. Mix them properly with your fingers until becomes crumbly
  3. Then by adding water little by little knead a medium tight dough
  4. Cover and keep it for 20 minutes to rest
  5. After 20 minutes uncover the dough and knead it again for few seconds so that it can be rolled out easily
  6. Make equal size balls from the dough
  7. Now roll each ball into a small and medium thick roti
  8. Take a clean tweezer and start making the flower design on the rolled out roti
  9. Start making design from the outer side , by pinching with a tweezer
  10. When you pinch it , it will become like a petal , then continue it , it will become like a flower , when you finish it till the center
  11. They will look like this
  12. In the meantime heat oil in a kadai for deep frying , first on high then make it low
  13. Now slide the ready mathris in the hot oil and fry them on low heat
  14. Fry them by turning them at regular intervals , until becomes light brown and crispy
  15. When done take them out on an absorbant paper

  18. They can be stored for 10 - 15 days in normal temperature , during winters it can be stored for 20 days
