ABOUT Lemon Grilled Fish RECIPE

Fresh fish pairs beautifully with lemon juice, here the fish also has subtle hints of aniseed and mint.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 500gms Fresh white Fish(bite size pieces)
  2. For the marinade-
  3. 2 tbsp lemon juice
  4. 1 tbsp olive oil
  5. 1 tsp fresh coriander, chopped
  6. 1 tsp Fresh Mint, chopped
  7. Zest of 1 lemon
  8. Aniseed(saunf)- 1/4 tsp
  9. Green chillies- 1-2 (optional)
  10. Salt and Black pepper to taste.
  11. Wooden skewers
  12. 1 large Lemon, sliced
  13. Extra oil for basting
  14. Extra Mint leaves for garnishing

Instructions

  1. Wash the fish under running water and pat dry.
  2. Add the olive oil, lemon juice, mint, coriander, zest, green chillies, salt, black pepper, aniseed to a spice blender and process to make the marinade.
  3. Rub the fish pieces well with the marinade and leave for half an hour.Also soak skewers in water for the same time.
  4. When your are ready to serve, preheat grill. Thread the fish pieces onto the skewers with lemon slices in between.
  5. Grill for 10-15 minutes basting occasionally with more olive oil. Alternately you can pan fry the fish till done.
  6. Garnish with mint leaves and serve with a fresh salad and dip of choice on the side
