Ingredients to make Ukrainian Vareniki/Varenyky
- For the Vareniki dough-
- 3 cups Plain flour
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp Sour cream
- 2 tbsp buttermilk
- 1/2 tsp salt
- Approx. 1 cup Warm water
- For the filling-
- 5 potatoes
- 200gms cream cheese
- 1/2 cup Mozzarella Cheese, grated
- 2 tbsp butter
- Black pepper to taste
- Chopped coriander for garnishing
- Extra salt as required
How to make Ukrainian Vareniki/Varenyky
My Tip:
Do not overcook the potatoes. If desired you can add caramelized onions to the filling and then drizzle Vareniki with some extra melted butter to make it even more delicious!
