This is the very traditional sweet dish for Diwali. It comes from UP and Bihar.

  1. 1. Maida - 2 cup
  2. 2. Mawa - 1 cup
  3. 3. Sugar - 2 cup
  4. 4. Oil - 500 ml
  5. 5. Cloves - 10
  6. 6. Cashew nuts and resins - 6 to 7

Instructions

  1. TAKE MAIDA IN BOWL AND POUR SOME OIL FOR MOYAN.
  2. RUB THE MAIDA AND OIL TOGETHER, IF IT MAKES BALL THEN MOYAN IS PERFECT.
  3. NOW KNEED THE DOUGH FOR LAUNGLATIKA.
  4. IT WILL BECOME LIKE THIS. KEEP THE DOUGH FOR REST.
  5. NOW SAUTE THE KHOYA IN PAN.
  6. AFTER FEW MINUTES ADD SUGAR.
  7. THEN ADD DRY FRUITS.
  8. LET THE KHOYA MIX COOL. MEAN WHILE MAKE THE SUGAR SYRUP FOR LAUNLATIKA.
  9. NOW TAKE SMALL BALL OF DOUGH AND ROLL IT. PUT THE KHOYA MIXTURE AND COVER AND SEAL.
  10. NOW LOCK WITH CLOVES.
  11. HEAT THE OIL AND FRY LAUNGLATIKA.
  12. TURN IT REGULARLY.
  13. FRY TILL IT BECOMES GOLDEN COLOUR.
  14. TAKE IT OUT FROM OIL.
  15. NOW SUGAR SYRUP IS READY.
  16. PUT LAUNGLATIKA IN SUGAR SYRUP AND LEAVE FOR SOME TIME.
  17. THEN TAKE OUT THEM FROM SUGAR SYRUP.
  18. PUT SOME SIVLVER WARQ AND SERVE.
