Tagliatelle Bolognese

Ingredients to make Tagliatelle Bolognese

  • 500 grams tagliatelle pasta
  • Parmesan cheese, grated to garnish
  • Bolognese sauce Ingredients:
  • 500 grams minced beef
  • 1 small sized onion, finely chopped
  • 2 small sized tomatoes, pureed
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon oregano, dried
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg, grounded
  • 250 ml chicken stock
  • 125 ml white wine
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

How to make Tagliatelle Bolognese

  1. To prepare the sauce, heat the oil in a heavy bottomed pan . Add in the onion and garlic, saute and cook this for 2-3 minutes.
  2. Then add the minced meat and stir fry it for 5 minutes till it turns brown in colour. Pour in the tomato puree, chicken stock, white wine, oregano, nutmeg, and salt and pepper to taste. Mix these ingredients well together.
  3. Bring this mixture to a boil. Then lower the heat and let it simmer and cook for 45 minutes.
  4. Boil salted water in a cooking bowl, cook the tagliatelle pasta as per the packet directions. Then drain and set aside.
  5. Place the pasta on a serving plate and top it with the bolognese sauce and parmesan cheese. Serve instantly for best taste.
