ABOUT Green Sprout Chicken Puff RECIPE

It's an healthy puff with green sprouts and chicken. It is rich in protein and will be loved by all. Kids refuse to eat healthy sprouts directly, but by adding in with chicken the taste is so good and a must try recipe by all. Vegetarian can make vegetables with sprouts.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Puff pastry
  2. Flour 125 grams
  3. Salt 1/2tsp
  4. Baking powder 1/2 teaspoon
  5. Dalda 10 grams(to mix in the dough)
  6. Dalda 80 grams(to apply over the dough)
  7. Egg 1
  8. Ice cold water to mix the dough
  9. Filling
  10. Green sprouts 1/2cup
  11. Boneless chicken 100 grams
  12. Egg 1
  13. Onion 1
  14. Garlic 3cloves
  15. Chilli powder 1/2 teaspoon
  16. Pepper powder 1/2 teaspoon
  17. Curry leaves 2 sprig
  18. Turmeric powder 1/4 teaspoon
  19. Oil 2 teaspoon
  20. Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Filling preparation
  2. Soak green sprouts overnight and drain water and let it sprout.
  3. Heat oil in a pan.
  4. Add chopped onion and garlic.
  5. Let it fry. Mince boneless chicken in a mixer with green sprouts.
  6. Ground filling.
  7. Add this mixture in the pan with all the powders and salt to taste.
  8. Add sprig of curry leaves to the mixture and let it cool.
  9. Puff pastry
  10. Sieve flour, salt and baking powder together. Add 20gms dalda and ice cold water and mix into a soft dough. Rest it for 15mts minutes..
  11. Divide the dalda((170gm)into 3 equal parts.
  12. Roll the dough into a rectangle on a duated board and apply one part of the dalda on 2/3 of the rectangle leaving 1portion empty as shown above.
  13. Fold the pastry into rectangle and trim of the four edges.
  14. Place a tablespoon of filling and cover.
  15. Cover it gently. Do not press.
  16. Brush over with egg, and bake at 190 degrees centigrade for 30minutes.
