ABOUT Dry Fruit Athirasam RECIPE

Athirasam usually made with plain dough with jaggery. To make intresting I added dried fruits for stuffing. It's healthy for all and a must try recipe.Stuffings can be changed according to individual taste.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Basmati rice 1 cup
  2. Jaggery 1 cup
  3. Elachi 5 number
  4. Cashew 10
  5. Almond 10
  6. prune 6
  7. Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Soak basmati rice in water For two hours
  2. Drain and spread on Kitchen towel
  3. Grind after it is slightly dry
  4. Sieve twice to get fine rice Flour.
  5. Add two cup of rice flour in A dry vessel
  6. Melt 1 cup jaggery with a Little water
  7. Strain the jaggery syrup to Remove dirt.
  8. Add jaggery syrup in a pan.
  9. Add elaichi powder.
  10. Check for consistency, it Should not mix with water
  11. Add jaggery syrup to the Flour.
  12. Mix well.
  13. The dough should be soft
  14. Apply oil on the dough and Rest it overnight or 7 hours
  15. Invert the dough after 3 Hours
  16. Chop cashew, almond and Prunes
  17. Spread oil on plastic sheet
  18. Take a small ball of the Dough and flatten it
  19. Add chopped dried fruits And cover it.
  20. Flatten the ball
  21. Heat oil on low flame. And Fry the prepared ball
  22. Turn gently.
  23. When its golden brown Remove from oil.
  24. Transfer to tissue paper.
  25. Yummy healthy dry fruit Athirasam is ready to Consume.
