Ingredients to make Hot Buttered Rum

  • 500 ml water
  • 55 grams dark brown sugar
  • 55 grams Butter, unsalted
  • 150 ml dark rum
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg, freshly grated
  • 1/4 teaspoon cloves, grounded
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt

How to make Hot Buttered Rum

  1. Take a pan, pour in the water along with the butter, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and salt. Bring this to a boil on a medium flame.
