Ingredients Serving: 4

500 ml water
55 grams dark brown sugar
55 grams Butter, unsalted
150 ml dark rum
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg, freshly grated
1/4 teaspoon cloves, grounded
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/8 teaspoon salt

Instructions

Take a pan, pour in the water along with the butter, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and salt. Bring this to a boil on a medium flame.
Then lower the heat and let it simmer and cook for 10 minutes.
After this time period, switch off the stove and stir in the rum.
Serve hot to enjoy.
