ABOUT Paneer bhojai RECIPE

I live in Mangalore and my Dad's friend had opened a small hotel. He suggested I prepare a special dish to put in the menu, I tried cooking this dish and can confidently say that I have done justice to this dish.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Paneer cut into cubes or stripes- 1 block
  2. 8 garlic cloves, grounded
  3. 1 tsp of ginger-garlic paste
  4. 1 tsp of soya sauce
  5. Garlic finely chopped- 1 bowl
  6. Green chillies finely chopped- 1 bowl
  7. Ginger finely chopped- 1 bowl
  8. Green colour- a pinch
  9. Ajinomotto- a pinch
  10. Maida- 1 cup for coating
  11. A pinch of turmeric powder
  12. Salt to taste
  13. Oil for cooking
  14. A little spring onion, finely chopped
  15. 3 green chillies paste
  16. Coriander leaves to garnish

Instructions

  1. Take a bowl, add maida, salt, a pinch of turmeric powder, 1 tsp of ginger garlic paste, grinded garlic and green chilli paste and marinate to make a medium batter.
  2. Take a wok, heat oil and fry the marinated paneer till it is light brown in colour and set aside.
  3. Take a wok add 2 tbps of oil, add finely chopped garlic, ginger, green chillies and saute. Then add 1 tsp of soya sauce and fry til the raw smell disappears. Then add ajinomotto, colour, paneer and mix well. Add 1 tsp of pepper powder and garnish it.
  4. Serve hot for best taste.
