As a Keralite I love fish and fishes rightly spiced and fried in coconut oil is my favorite

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Fish 500 grams
  2. Chilli powder 1 tablespoon
  3. Kashmiri chilli powder 2 tablespoon
  4. Coriander powder 1 tablespoon
  5. Fish Masala or Garam masala 1 teaspoon
  6. Lemon juice 1 tablespoon
  7. Ginger garlic paste 1 tablespoon
  8. Turmeric powder 1/2 teaspoon
  9. Coconut oil or Vegetable oil 5-6 tablespoon
  10. Pepper powder 1 tablespoon
  11. Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Clean the fish and make deep slits.Take a bowl and add all the marination ingredients except oil. Mix them with little water to make thick paste
  2. Add Fish and marinate well. Keep it aside for 1 hour.
  3. Take a pan add oil.. Coconut oil adds flavor however you can use regular oil too. Heat the oil and add fish
  4. Cook on low to medium flame for 6-7minutes, cover it while cooking. Gently flip over , increase the flame for few seconds, then again reduce to medium flame and after 5 minutes fish is done
  5. Garnish and serve with rice
