ABOUT Kucho nimki or namak pare RECIPE

This is usually deep fried snack made during holi or durga puja

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. All purpose flour or maida 2 cups
  2. Oil 2 tablespoon
  3. Salt to taste
  4. Sugar a pinch
  5. Kalinjee or onion seeds 1 teaspoon
  6. Red chilli powder 1 teaspoon
  7. Oil for deep frying

Instructions

  1. Make a dough with all the ingredients.
  2. Rest for 30 mins
  3. Divide the dough into equal ball
  4. Roll them flat as thin as possible.
  5. Cut them into diamond shape
  6. Heat oil and fry the nimkis into batches till light golden colour
  7. Take out into a tissue paper to soak the extra oil.
  8. Let it cool completely.
  9. Store them in a air tight container.
