Traditional Diwali Sweet,Deep Fried DRY Fruit Samosa

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Maida 11/2 cup
  2. Ghee 2 tablespoon
  3. Water for binding the dough
  4. Ghee for frying
  5. For stuffing
  6. Badam 1 small cup
  7. Pistachios 1 small cup
  8. Dried Coconut 1 small piece
  9. Kharek 2
  10. Khus khus 2 teaspoon
  11. Munnaka 1 tablespoon
  12. Kismis 1 tablespoon
  13. Cardamon powder 1 teaspoon
  14. Powdered sugar 1 small cup
  15. Poori made from dough 1 small poori
  16. Approximately 2 teaspoon milk

Instructions

  1. For the dough:
  2. In a bowl mix maida and ghee.Add water to make a semi soft dough.
  3. For Stuffing:
  4. In a mixer jar mix Badam, Pistachios, dried coconut, kharek.Grind the mixture to crumbly paste.Dont over grind it but take care the nuts are grinded properly.
  5. Transfer this mixture in a bowl.
  6. Add khus khus, munnaka, kishmish, powdered sugar in it.
  7. Fry small puri from ready dough.cool it n crush it with hand and add in the mixture for binding the stuffing.
  8. Add little milk for binding.
  9. Add powdered cardamon
  10. Mix well and keep aside.
  11. Now make equal small balls from the dough and roll round discs like poori from the balls.
  12. Cut into two ( semi circle)with a knife. Seal the two ends and turn in conical shape.Fill the dry fruits stuffing in the cone 1or 2 teaspoon in the cone and seal the edges.
  13. Fry the Mewalas till crisp and golden brown in colour.
  14. When done transfer in a serving plate and enjoy with savoury item on festivals or lunch or dinner.
