Beguni is a mouth watering snacks easily available in kolkata roadside stall.But if you want to make it at home here is the recipe.It is generally eaten with puffed rice.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Brinjal 4
  2. Besan/gram flour.. 1 cup
  3. Sodium bi carbonate 1/2teaspn
  4. Salt
  5. Turmeric powder 1spn
  6. Red chilli powder 1tspn

Instructions

  1. Cut brinjal into thin slices.Sprinkle salt turmeric powder, red chilli powder on it & keep aside
  2. Make a thick batter of besan,salt,red chilli powder,turmeric powder & sodium bi carbonate.
  3. Dip one brinjal slice in the batter & deep fry it in medium flame.
  4. Serve it hot with puffed rice.
