Paneer Bhurji semi dry is a slightly spicy and delightful Indian semi dry paneer dish that can be served as an accompaniment with naan, rumali rotis, lachha paranthas in Indian dinner and its truly irresistible.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 2 cups crumbled paneer (cottage cheese)
  2. 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds (jeera)
  3. 1/2 cup finely chopped onions
  4. 1/2 cup finely chopped tomatoes, deseeded
  5. 1 teaspoon ginger-garlic paste
  6. 1/4th teaspoon turmeric powder (haldi)
  7. 1/2 teaspoon chilli powder
  8. 1 teaspoon finely chopped green chillies
  9. 2 teaspoon oil
  10. 1 tablespoon finely chopped coriander leaves (dhania)
  11. Salt to taste
  12. 1/2 teaspoon garam masala powder

Instructions

  1. Heat the oil in a wok and add the cumin seeds.
  2. When the seeds crackle, add the onions and sauté on a high flame for 1 to 2 minutes.
  3. Add the tomatoes, ginger garlic paste and 2 tablespoons of water.
  4. Mix well and cook on a slow flame for 2 to 3 minutes, while stirring continuously.
  5. Add the turmeric powder, chilli powder, green chillies, , mix well and cook on a medium flame for 1 to 2 minutes, while stirring continuously.
  6. Add the crumbled paneer, salt, garam masala and coriander leaves and 1 tablespoon of water.
  7. Mix well and cook on a medium flame for 1 to 2 minutes, while stirring occasionally.
  8. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
  9. Serve hot with naan, roomali roti or Lachha paranthas.
