Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1 Fresh Chicken cut into 8-10 pcs
  2. 1 cup Thick Curd
  3. 5 Green Cardamom
  4. 2 sticks Cinnamon
  5. 1 Black Cardamom
  6. 3 Cloves
  7. 1 Bay leaf
  8. 3 tbsp Ginger and Garlic paste
  9. 2 tbsp Mustard Oil (try and use only mustard gives a great
  10. 1 tbsp Black peppercorns
  11. 4 tsp Red chilli paste
  12. 2 tsp Chaat masala
  13. 2 tsp Cumin seeds
  14. 2 tsp Coriander seeds
  15. 1 1/2 tsp Lemon juice
  16. 3/4 tsp Turmeric powder
  17. Oil/butter for basting
  18. Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. For tandoori masala- grind cinnamon, cardamoms, coriander seeds, cumin seeds, cloves , peppercorn, bay leaf and turmeric powder together.
  2. Marinate the chicken with red chilli paste ginger garlic paste, chaat masala, salt(use very less as chaat masala already has salt), lemon juice, mustard oil, curd and the fresh ground tandoori masala for at least 2 hours or preferably overnight.
  3. Grill the chicken from all sides on griller or a hot tandoor basting with butter/oil frequently
  4. Serve with onion rings, tomatoes, lemon wedges and green chutney.
