ABOUT Divle RECIPE

A unique traditional Recipe, which is must in every Mathur family on the occasion of Diwali festival. This sweet is easy to make and superb in taste.

Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. Multi purpose flour 1/4cup
  2. Semolina 1/2cup
  3. Ghee 4tbs
  4. Salt 1/4tsp
  5. Water as required
  6. Oil/ghee for frying
  7. For sugar syrup-
  8. Sugar 100gm.
  9. Water 200ml.
  10. Cardamom powder 2 tsp
  11. Dessicated coconut 2tbs
  12. Chopped almonds 1tbs
  13. Chopped pistachios 1tbs

Instructions

  1. Mix semolina, all purpose flour, salt, butter, water make a dough like paratha dough.
  2. Keep aside for half an hour.
  3. Meanwhile boil water,add sugar and boil it till you get 1 strand.
  4. Heat oil/ghee in a pan .
  5. Take half of a tennis ball dough and roll it with a rolling pin and shape it like a diya.
  6. Fry these Divle till golden brown.keep out on a butter paper.
  7. Dip these divlas in the sugar syrup one by one. Sprinkle cardamom powder, Desiccated coconut and all dry fruits one by one on each divlas.
