Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. White sandwich bread 3 slices
  2. Maida or all purpose flour 1/2 Cup
  3. Corn flour 1/4 Cup
  4. Ginger garlic paste 1/2 tablespoon
  5. Kashmiri red chilli powder 1 tablespoon
  6. Turmeric powder 1/4 tablespoon
  7. ½ tsp Coriander powder 1/2 tablespoon
  8. Garam masala 1/2 tablespoon
  9. Salt to taste
  10. Tomato sauce 1 tablespoon
  11. Water as required
  12. Mustard seeds 3/4 tablespoon
  13. Ginger 1 inch finely chopped, 3 cloves garlic
  14. Green Chillies 3, slit lengthwise and deseeded few curry leaves
  15. Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Take the bread slices and cut the edges from all 4 sides..now cut the bread into cubes and keep aside
  2. In a large mixing bowl combine ½ cup maida, ¼ cup corn flour, ginger garlic paste, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, garam masala, salt to taste and a tbsp of tomato sauce.
  3. Using a whisk, combine well. Now add water as required and make a smooth paste. keep aside.
  4. Coat the bread cubes with prepared masala paste and deep fry
  5. Fry occasionally till they turn golden brown,drain and place on an absorbent paper.
  6. Let oil drain completely.
  7. Add a tsp of oil along with cumin seeds. allow them to splutter.
  8. Now add chopped ginger and garlic. saute till the raw smell disappears.
  9. Now add slit green chill and few curry leaves. fry for a minute.Add chilli sauce and crushed pepper.
  10. Add some water and mix well.Finally add fried bread and give a good mix.
  11. Take in a serving plate and garnish with chopped coriander leaves and cashews.Serve bread 65 as a evening snack or as a starter.
  12. Yummy yummy snack is ready.
