Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Potatoes-4
  2. Salt- to sprinkle
  3. Chilli powder- to sprinkle
  4. Lemon juice- to brush on tornado potato
  5. Bamboo sticks- 4
  6. Oil- to deep fry

Instructions

  1. Wash potatoes and pat dry
  2. Insert a bamboo stick to each potato and keep knife at an angle and keep rotating the stick( with skin on). We get a spiral shaped cut potato.
  3. Heat oil in a wok ( large enough to hold the bamboo stick.
  4. When oil is very hot, carefully keep these tornado potato sticks and fry on all sides.
  5. When done, drain them in a paper towel.
  6. Sprinkle salt and chilli powder and brush with little lemon juice.
  7. Serve hot along with rose flower shaped potato chips. ( thin potato slices are shaped into rose flower and kept in place with the help of 3 tooth picks and deep fried).
