ABOUT Churros with chocolate dip RECIPE

This is a very popular sweet snacks. It is widely eaten in Spain, Portugal and Mexico. In so place in is eaten in very thin shape and some places it is thick. It is generally sprinkled with icing sugar and a dip of chocolate or salted caramel. Best tastes when hot and crispy.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. 160 gm all purpose flour
  2. 250 ml water
  3. 5o gm butter
  4. 1/4 tea spoon salt
  5. 1 egg
  6. 1/2 tea spoon baking powder
  7. Vanilla essence 1 tea spoon
  8. 2 table spoon sugar
  9. Oil for frying
  10. Piping bag with big star nozzle
  11. Chocolate melted for dipping
  12. Coloured vermicelli for decoration
  13. Icing sugar for sprinkling on top.

Instructions

  1. Heat the water and butter in a kadai.
  2. Add in all purpose flour, baking powder, sugar, salt and essence.
  3. Stir continuously with a wooden spatula.
  4. They should come together and form a soft dough.
  5. Leave it for cooling for 15 minutes.
  6. Now add the egg. First it will look as curdled.
  7. Continue mixing with the spatula.
  8. Gradually they will come together.
  9. Dough have to be nice, soft and piping consistency.
  10. Heat oil in a pan.
  11. Add the dough in a piping bag.
  12. Start making the churros.
  13. Cut the ends with a knife.
  14. Fry until golden brown.
  15. Take out and sprinkle icing sugar on it.
  16. Melt some chocolate in double boiler method.
  17. Dip the churros in chocolate, sprinkle some colorful vermicelli and serve hot.
