Simple Chocolate Souffle

Ingredients to make Simple Chocolate Souffle

  • 2 tbsp Butter
  • 1/2 cup Sugar
  • 1 1/2 cup chocolate
  • 6 eggs, separated
  • 2 tsp vanilla essence
  • A pinch of salt

How to make Simple Chocolate Souffle

  1. Melt the butter and chocolate in a heat-proof bowl in the microwave. Whisk in the egg yolks, vanilla essence and a pinch of salt. Set aside.
  2. Beat the 6 egg whites until foamy. Continue beating to soft peak stage and slowly add the sugar. Beat till you start getting stiff peaks.
  3. Fold the egg whites into the chocolate mixture, stir in gently till well combined.
  4. Transfer the mixture to the serving bowls and bake in a pre heated oven at 180 degree centigrade for 30 to 40 minutes or till the souffle puffs up.
  5. Serve immediately.
My Tip: Serve immediately as the souffle tends to collapse on cooling.
