Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. 1 cup Wheat Flour
  2. 1 cup sugar
  3. 1 Cup water
  4. 1 cup ghee
  5. 1 tsp cardamom powder
  6. 1 tsp saffron
  7. #Topping
  8. 1/2 cup hung yoghurt
  9. 1/2 tsp sugar
  10. 1 ,1/ 2 tbs crushed pistachios
  11. 1 piece glazed cherry

Instructions

  1. Heat Ghee in a pan on a low/medium flame. .
  2. Add Flour ,keep Stirring flour until it roasts. Flour will turn light brown in colour with nice aroma. Flour should be roasted well.
  3. Add water ,sugar, cardamom, saffron. Keep Stirring continuously making sure there are no lumps.
  4. Cool till it becomes little thick. When it is semi thick like sooji halwa, turn off the flame. In a serving tray, place a round mould and add halwa.
  5. Press halwa properly in the mould. Keep aside to cool down.
  6. After it cools down, arrange a top layer of yogurt( before in hung yoghurt add sugar and mix well),and sprinkle some pistachios on top of the yoghurt. Serve and enjoy.
