Neer Mor (Indian Spiced Buttermilk)

Ingredients to make Neer Mor (Indian Spiced Buttermilk)

  • curd - 1 cup
  • water - 1 1/4 cup
  • green chillies - 1 (finely chopped)
  • ginger - 1 small piece (grated)
  • curry leaves - 1 sprig
  • asafoetida - A Pinch
  • salt - to taste
  • oil - 1/2 tsp
  • mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
  • curry leaves - 1 sprig
  • asafoetida - A Pinch

How to make Neer Mor (Indian Spiced Buttermilk)

  1. Beat the curd with water. Add chopped chillies, curry leaves, grated ginger, salt and asafoetida.
  2. In a tempering pan, heat oil. Now add mustard seeds, curry leaves, asafoetida and let the mixture splutter.
  3. Refrigerate and enjoy chilled.

My Tip:

If you do not like the bite of the chillies, you can remove it before serving.
