ABOUT Star shaped Pickle and vegetables Paratha RECIPE

I gave a twist to the regular paratha by adding pickle masala and vegetables. My son loves tangy food. So I gave star shape to this paratha to attract him. Otherwise, you can also make round shaped parathas too. You can add any vegetables of your choice to make the dough.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. ½ Cup, whole wheat flour
  2. Pickle Masala, as required
  3. 2 tbsp, finely chopped coriander leaves
  4. 1-1/2 tbsp, finely chopped onion
  5. 2 tbsp, finely chopped coriander leaves
  6. 2 tbsp, grated carrot
  7. Salt, to taste
  8. Ghee, as required

Instructions

  1. Take a bowl, add all the ingredients except ghee and pickle masala. Mix well.
  2. Sprinkle water little by little and make a soft dough.
  3. Divide the dough into equal balls of big size for making roti
  4. Roll the 2 balls into a thin disc like roti by dusting enough flour.
  5. Now take one rolled roti and spread pickle masala over it. Cover it with the another rolled roti. Press it and roll it once lightly.
  6. Take a star shaped cookie cutter and cut the rolled roti.
  7. Heat a non-sticky pan and grease it with little ghee.
  8. Now put the star rotis into the pan and cook them from both sides by applying ghee.
  9. Repeat the process for making more parathas.
  10. Serve these hot parathas with yogurt.
