About Veg pulao Recipe

An easy veg pulao that can be cooked in a few minutes.

Ingredients to make Veg pulao

  • 2 cups basmati rice
  • 100 gms Paneer/cottage cheese
  • 2 small sized potatoes
  • 100 gms carrot
  • 100 gms French beans
  • 100 gms peas
  • 1 dalchini
  • 1 javitri
  • 1 Laung
  • 1 Badi ilaichi / cardamom
  • 2 Choti ilaichi/ cardamom
  • 1 Kali mirch/ Black pepper
  • 1 Tejpatta/ bay leaf

How to make Veg pulao

  1. Boil basmati rice with all the listed spices. Once it is cooked, drain the water and keep aside.
  2. Chop the paneer and potatoes into cube sizes and deep fry them. You can also deep fry some cashew and onion slices to garnish this dish with.
  3. Boil the cube sized carrot , french beans and peas with a little salt in a vessel.
  4. Once the veggies are cooked, mix them with the basmati rice and 1 spoon of desi ghee, also add salt as per taste.
  5. Garnish with fried onion and cashews and serve instantly.
