Potato stuffed chillies are less spicy and can be served as a side dish. It can be ready within few minutes ,easy to cook and my kids favourite.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Green chilli - 6-8
  2. Potato - 3-4 medium size boiled
  3. Fennel seeds (sanuf)-1 tsp
  4. Red chilli powder - 1/4 tsp
  5. salt as per taste
  6. Cumin seeds - 1/4 tsp
  7. Mustard seeds - 1/4 Tsp
  8. Asafoetida - 1 pinch
  9. coriander powder - 1/2 tsp
  10. Turmeric Powder - 1/4 Tsp
  11. Mango powder (aamchur) -1/4 tsp
  12. Oil - 2 tbsp

Instructions

  1. Wash and slit the green chillies from top to bottom in center so that it remains joined from the bottom.
  2. Peel boiled potatoes and in a bowl mash them.
  3. Prepare stuffing mixture:-
  4. In mashed potatoes add salt, red chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, fennel seeds, mango powder. Mix all ingredients well.
  5. Now take green chillies one by one and stuff the filling into it with help of the spoon or fingers.
  6. Now on medium flame heat oil in a pan.
  7. Add cumin seeds, mustard seeds and asafoetida.
  8. When it starts crackling place all stuffed green chillies gently in the pan.
  9. Cover the pan and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  10. After that open the lid and flip the chilies. Cover again and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  11. Green chillies now has become soft and golden brown in colour.
  12. Stuffed chilli-potato is now ready to serve with chapati, dal and rice.
