Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Wheat flour 100 gms
  2. Suji 50 gms
  3. Carom seeds / ajawain a pinch
  4. Baking powder a pinch
  5. Turmeric powdeer 1/4 tsp
  6. Salt to taste
  7. Oil 1 tbsp
  8. Oil for frying 1 cup
  9. Clarified butter / ghee 1 cup
  10. For stuffing
  11. Roasted gram flour / sattu 100 gms
  12. Finely chopped onio 1
  13. Finely chopped green chilly 2 - 3
  14. Finely chopped coriander leaves 1 tsp
  15. Chopped garlic 2 - 3
  16. Mustard oil 1/4 tsp
  17. Salt to taste
  18. Lemon juice 1 tsp
  19. Water as required

Instructions

  1. Take a large bowl add wheat flour,suji,carom seeds,baking powder,turmeric powder,salt and oil and mix well.
  2. Make a stiff dough with the heip of water.
  3. Keep aside for 30 mins.
  4. Take a large bowl add above listed stuffing ingredients and mix well
  5. Now stuffing is ready.
  6. The texture should be crumbly ,keep aside.
  7. Divide the dough into equal size balls.
  8. Stuff the filling in the dough.
  9. Wrap up the dough pieces and close from all sides.
  10. Heat enough oil in the pan.
  11. Add bati lower the heat and deep fry till light brown.
  12. Pour the bati in the clarified butter / ghee and serve.
