Ragi Chocolate Shake

I tried many versions of porridge to feed my kids especially with ragi/ finger millet, every time they would have just two or three spoons. But when I served this shake the whole glass was consumed within seconds.

Recipe Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp Ragi flour
  • 1 tbsp Cocoa powder
  • 3 scoops Chocolate ice cream
  • 3 cups Chilled milk
  • 1 tbsp Sugar
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract

Recipe Preparation

  1. Whisk the 1/2 cup water with the Ragi flour and cocoa powder together in a sauce pan. Heat the saucepan on a medium flame.
  2. The mixture will begin to thicken, using a whisk keep stirring it occasionally. Turn off the flame, transfer to a plate and let it cool completely.
  3. Blend with chilled milk, vanilla extract, sugar, ice cream and the cooled ragi - chocolate mixture until well combined. Pour in glass and enjoy chilled.
