ABOUT Moong Palak RECIPE

Its healthy version of lentil with iron rich spinach.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1 cup yellow moong dal
  2. 1/2 bunch spinach
  3. 4 tsp desi dhee
  4. 1/4 tsp Cumin seeds
  5. 1 tsp chopped ginger
  6. 1 green chilly
  7. Salt to taste
  8. 1/4 tsp red chilli powder
  9. 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  10. Green coriander leaves garnishing

Instructions

  1. Wash dal abd soak 5 minutes.
  2. Clean and wash the spinach.
  3. Blanch and puree it.
  4. Put dal and spinach puree in cooker
  5. Add salt and turmeric powder.
  6. Cook till 1 whistle.
  7. Open and stir it.
  8. Heat ghee in a pan
  9. Add cumin seeds.
  10. Add chopped ginger and green chilly.
  11. Add red chilly powder.
  12. Pour tadka on dal
  13. Sprinkle green ciriander leaves
  14. Serve with hot chapatis.
