ABOUT Cheezy Green Pizza RECIPE

My Kid hates broccoli so I decided to add it to one of his favorite food pizza and surprisingly he had it without complaints. Broccoli is a great source of vitamins K and C, Folic acid and other nutrients. Enjoy this healthy and Yummy mouth smacking pizza

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Pizza base (homemade/store brought)
  2. For cheese sauce
  3. 1 cup Skimmed/low-fat milk
  4. 2 cloves garlic, minced
  5. 1 tbsp all-purpose flour
  6. 1/4 cup shredded mozarella cheese
  7. 1 tbsp melted butter
  8. Salt to taste
  9. Pizza toppings
  10. 1 cup broccoli florets
  11. 1-2 tbsp Capsicum
  12. 1tsp Jalapeno (optional)
  13. Salt and pepper to taste
  14. 1tbsp melted butter
  15. Oregano, Red chilli flakes Basil
  16. 1/4 grated mozarella cheese

Instructions

  1. In a pan, add 1 tbsp melted butter, saute Broccoli, add 1/3 cup water, cover and cook until Broccoli is tender. Take a mixing bowl, add Capsicum, broccoli. Sprinkle salt and pepper and toss it well. Keep it aside
  2. In another heated pan, add 1 tbsp melted butter, milk, garlic, flour and salt. There should be no lumps.Keep stirring it bringing it boil. As it thickens, add 1/4 cup cheese. Once cheese starts melting, switch it off and keep it aside. This is the cheese sauce
  3. OVEN VERSION- Preheat the oven to 180
  4. Apply Butter on both side of pizza base and bake it for 3-4 mins. I do this to get a crispy crunchy taste.
  5. Generously apply cheese sauce on the base, add broccoli mix, jalapenos, oregano. Sprinkle the grated mozarella cheese on top. Bake it for 15-18 mins until cheese melts. Add additional toppings as required and serve hot with sauce/Ketchup
  6. STOVETOP Version- Butter both sides of pizza base and warm it up on Tawa....Bottom should be just warmed while the top should be browned....switch off and transfer the pizza base
  7. The lightly warmed surface will be bottom and browned surface will be pizza base to add the contents.Generously apply cheese sauce on the base, add broccoli mix, jalapenos, oregano. Sprinkle the grated mozarella cheese on top
  8. Add 1 tbsp butter, heat the tawa or shallow pan. Carefully place the pizza . Cook on low flame, cover while cooking. Care should be taken that it should not be cooked uncovered and at the same time should have some air while cooking. Place a spatula between the lid and pan
  9. Cook for 7-9 minutes until cheese melts. Shift the pizza to the plate ...Add the toppings and serve hot with sauce/Ketchup
