  3. Cinnamon stick 2no.
  4. Green cardamom 2no.
  5. Cornstarch 80gm
  6. Eggs 1 or 2
  7. Refined flour 4 tablespoons
  8. Castor sugar 4 tablespoons
  9. Cinnamon powder 4 tablespoons
  10. Oil for frying
  11. Leftover gajar ka halwa 1 cup

Instructions

  1. First of all Separate 200ml of milk and put rest 800ml of milk on fire.
  2. Add cinnamon stick, green cardamom and sugar and bring it to boil.
  3. Once the milk is boiled remove the cardamom and cinnamon stick.
  4. Mix cornflour with the rest 200ml of milk and add in the boiled milk and cook on slow fire until the milk becomes very thick and sticky.
  5. Once the milk is thick, switch off the flame and remove the milk.
  6. Now in a tray pour half of the milk, spread evenly and make a layer.
  7. Now add the gajar ka halwa and make a thin layer of it on the milk layer.
  8. At last add the rest of the milk and make a smooth layer on the halwa layer. Now refrigerate this for 5 to 6 hours. After 5 to 6 hours milk will be nicely set. Till then, first make mixture of castor sugar and cinnamon powder and spread on a plate, second break the eggs in a plate and set aside.
  9. After 6 hours when the milk is nicely set, bring out from the refrigerator and cut into 12 square pieces.
  10. Coat each piece with flour then dip in the egg mixture and fry until they become golden brown from outside.
  11. Once they are fried, take them out from the oil and coat each piece with sugar and cinnamon mixture and place directly on serving plate and serve.
  12. I like to serve this nice dessert with vanilla ice cream but you can serve with anything you like.
