ABOUT Dhaba Style Matar Paneer RECIPE

A tongue tickling dish and everyone's favourite. As dhaba style food has a very nice earthy taste. This dish is has reached around that i think...give it try and serve your family, i bet no one will say that this is home made.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 100 grams of paneer cubed
  2. 1 cup fresh green peas
  3. 3 big tomatoes roughly chopped
  4. 2 big onions roughly chopped
  5. 2 green chillies
  6. 1 inch ginger
  7. 10 garlic cloves
  8. 2 tbsp oil
  9. 2 tbsp cream or dudh ki malai
  10. 1 tsp Red chili powder- adjust
  11. 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
  12. 1 tsp Coriander powder
  13. Salt to taste
  14. 1 tej patta
  15. 1/2 tbsp jeera
  16. 3 tbsp Chopped coriander for garnish
  17. 1 tsp kasuri methi

Instructions

  1. Grind the tomatoes, onions, green chilies, garlic and ginger into paste and keep aside
  2. Heat oil in a kadai and add jeera and tej patta. Splutter cumin seeds
  3. Add the onion tomato paste and saute for 10 minutes
  4. Add spice powders and cook for 3-4 minutes. Now add green peas and cook until oil separates
  5. Now add paneer cubes and cook for 3-4 minutes. Add water as required for desired gravy consistency
  6. Add crushed kasuri method and cook for 1-2 minutes
  7. Garnish with chopped fresh coriander and serve hot with rice roti or naan
