ABOUT No Fuss Tiramisu RECIPE

This shortcut version of the classic Italian dessert makes for a quick and easy after dinner treat

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. 200 grams store-bought vanilla sponge cake(you can buy eggless if you wish)
  2. 1/2 cup coffee decoction
  3. 1 tsp sugar
  4. a pinch of salt
  5. 2 tblsp rum (optional)
  6. 200 grams heavy whipping cream
  7. 200 grams mascarpone cheese
  8. 50 -100 grams icing sugar
  9. 1 tsp vanilla extract
  10. Cocoa powder for dusting

Instructions

  1. 1. Make your coffee decoction first, if you don't have it ready. To it, add the rum, sugar and salt and keep aside
  2. 2. Whip the heavy cream, fold in the mascarpone cheese, vanilla extract and icing sugar according to how sweet you'd like it. Keep aside.
  3. 3. Now slice your store-bought or ready made or home made sponge cake. Dip two slices of sponge into the coffee mix and arrange in a glass to layer further.
  4. 4. Spoon in 3 tblsps of the mascarpone and cream mix. Add two more pieces of coffee dipped sponge and layer again with the mascarpone mix.
  5. 5. Dust with cocoa powder and keep aside to chill for atleast 2 hours before serving.
  6. 6. Garnish with a sprig of mint if you'd like
