Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1.5 cups clean Spinach leaves chopped
  2. Moong dal 4 tablespoon
  3. To Roast and grind
  4. Urad dal 2 tsp
  5. Pepper 1/2 tsp
  6. Grated Coconut 1/2 cup
  7. Curry leaves 6-7
  8. Red chili 4 - 5
  9. Cumin seeds 1/2 tsp
  10. Salt to taste
  11. For Seasoning: Oil 1 tsp
  12. Mustard seeds 1/2 tsp
  13. Urad dal 1 tsp

Instructions

  1. Dry roast all ingredients until brown mentioned under roast section. Allow to cool completely. Add water and grind to smooth paste
  2. Soak dal for 30 minutes,drain excess water
  3. In a cooker, add 1 cup water, palak, Ground paste , dal, Salt and mix well
  4. Pressure Cook for 2 whistles
  5. Heat oil in a pan, splutter mustard seeds and roast urad dal until golden brown
  6. Add seasoning to cooked dal. Mix well and serve hot
