Ingredients to make Palak paneer

  • Spinach - 250 gms
  • Paneer- 300 gms ( cut into pieces)
  • Sugar - 1/2 tsp
  • Refined oil - 3 tbsp
  • Haldi - 1/4 tsp
  • Kasoori methi - 2 tsp
  • Tomato - 3
  • Green Chillies - 2
  • Ginger - 1 inch piece
  • Cream- 2 tbsp
  • Red chilli powder - 1/4 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Garam masala - 1/4 tsp

How to make Palak paneer

  1. Wash the spinach and chop it finely. Boil with 1 cup water, covered for 5-6 minutes.
  2. Grind together the tomato,green chilly, ginger.
  3. Heat oil in kadhai.
  4. Add the tomato puree along with haldi and kasoori methi. Fry this mixture for 3-4 mins.
  5. Add cream and saute for another 2-4 mins
  6. Once the palak is cooled down, grind it in mixer. Add the palak paste in a kadhai and adjust the gravy consistency.
  7. Add salt as per taste. Let it boil, then add in the paneer pieces.
  8. Cover it and lower the flame. Let this cook for 5 minutes.
  9. Add garam masala at last and mix it well.
  10. Serve and garnish with cream.
