Ingredients to make Shahi paneer

  • Paneer - 500 gms( cut into pieces)
  • Salt to taste
  • Garam masala - 1/4 tsp
  • Cream - 1/2 cup
  • Cashewnuts - 15
  • Red chilli powder - 1/4 tsp
  • Coriander powder - 1 tsp
  • Turmeric Powder - 1/4 Tsp
  • Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp
  • Oil - 2 tbsp
  • Ginger - 1 inch piece
  • Green Chillies - 2
  • Tomatoes - 5 medium sized
  • Coriander to garnish

How to make Shahi paneer

  1. Soak the cashew nuts in warm water for 15 minutes and make a paste of it.
  2. Grind the tomatoes, ginger, green chilies together.
  3. Heat oil in a pan,add jeera, let it crackle. Add the turmeric powder, coriander powder and saute it well.
  4. Add tomatoes paste to it. Saute for another 5 minutes.
  5. Next, add in the cashew nut paste and cream to it.
  6. Then add salt and red chilly powder.
  7. Adjust the consistency by adding the water and bring it to boil.
  8. Add the paneer pieces and let it cook for 3-4 minutes on a low flame.
  9. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve it hot.
