About Kerala Style Mango Pickle Recipe

Kerala Style Mango Pickle

Ingredients to make Kerala Style Mango Pickle

  • 1 big raw mango, cut in small pieces
  • 2 tbsp vinegar
  • 1 chopped green chili
  • Few curry leaves
  • 4 tbsp oil (this will depend on the mango size so add accordingly)
  • 3 tbsp pickle masala
  • 2-3 cloves of garlic

How to make Kerala Style Mango Pickle

  1. Cut the mango, chili, garlic and keep it aside. Heat a pan and add oil in it.
  2. Once the oil is hot, add the garlic, chili, curry leaves and cook till you get nice aroma from all the 3 ingredients. Then add the mango pieces along with the pickle masala and vinegar.
  3. Cook on a low to medium flame till the mango pieces are nice and tender. Check the salt level in the pickle masala, if it's salty enough then adding extra salt will not be required.
  4. Now turn off the flame and let it cool completely.
  5. Store it in a glass jar and enjoy it with your meal.

My Tip:

You can keep this bottle at room temperature, no need to keep it in the fridge.
