ABOUT Mint Pea Hummus RECIPE

Perfect dip for bread sticks or tortilla chips or crackers. It is a healthy aternative for mayo. Chick peas, peas, mint , cilantro , salt, lemon juice and garlic are a very good combination to make a healthy and tasty dip.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Chick peas- 1/2 cup
  2. Dried peas- 1/2 cup
  3. Mint leaves - 1/4 cup
  4. Coriander leaves-1/4 cup
  5. Salt- as per taste
  6. Peppercorns- 1 tsp
  7. Garlic - 2
  8. Lemon juice-1 tbsp
  9. Sesame seeds- 1 tbsp
  10. Olive oil-1 tbsp

Instructions

  1. Soak dried peas and chick peas for 6 hours or overnight
  2. Boil chick peas and peas with water and little salt for 5 whistles.
  3. Allow it to cool for 15 min.
  4. Grind chickpeas, peas, mint leaves, cilantro, salt, pepper,garlic, lemon juice, sesame seeds along with little chickpea boiled water to a smooth paste, drizzle olive oil when blending
  5. Serve as a dip for tortilla chips/ bread spread/ monaco crackers topping etc
