Barfi

Ingredients to make Barfi

  • 400 gm milk powder
  • 1 tin of milkmaid
  • 1/2 tsp elaichi powder
  • 2 tsp ghee

How to make Barfi

  1. Put the ghee in a microwave proof deep bowl and micro it on high for 30 seconds.
  2. Add in the milk powder and milkmaid and mix well. Note that there should not be any lumps.
  3. Microwave this mixture on high for 1 minute, then take it out and mix well. Once again put it in the microwave and cook for 1 minute, then take it out and add the elaichi powder and mix well.
  4. Microwave this mixture again for another minute as by now it will have become like a dough. Let this cool and come to room temperature.
  5. Grease a plate and roll this dough evenly on it. Cut into even pieces.
  6. Serve warm or cold as per your taste.
