About Penne Arrabbiata Recipe

A fiery Italian sauce for pasta made from tomatoes an red chillies.

Penne Arrabbiata

Ingredients to make Penne Arrabbiata

  • 400g Penne Pasta
  • 500g tomatoes chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic chopped
  • 2-4 Dried red chilli chopped
  • 2 tbs parsley leaves chopped
  • 1/2 cup cheese chopped
  • 6 tbs olive OIl
  • salt to taste
  • Basil leaves for garnish(optional)

How to make Penne Arrabbiata

  1. Cook the pasta in a large pot of salted boiling water with 1 tbsp of olive oil. Cook till tender and drain.
  2. Heat the olive oil in a pan. Add the garlic and chilli, saute till garlic becomes golden in color.
  3. Add tomatoes and stir fry for a couple of minutes.
  4. Add salt and cook on medium heat for about 20-25 mins.
  5. Now add the pasta and cheese and toss well to coat.
  6. Sprinkle chopped parsely and serve hot.

nice recipe and well explained....though I prefer using paprika instead of dry red chili. Another variation is using crushed kashmiri chills and canola oil instead of olive oil.
