Chocolate Walnut Cake

Ingredients to make Chocolate Walnut Cake

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 cup yogurt
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 1/4 tsps baking powder
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence
  • 1 tsp ground flax seed
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts divided

How to make Chocolate Walnut Cake

  1. 1. Preheat the oven to 180 degree centigrade. Prepare an 8-inch round tin and line with butter paper
  2. 2. In a large bowl, sift in the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder and salt.
  3. 3. Add the yogurt, oil, vanilla and ground flax seeds powder and brown sugar.
  4. 4. Mix together until just combined, add walnuts to it and pour into the prepared tin. Bake for 40 minutes or until just done.
  5. 5. Serve with a drizzle of chocolate sauce
My Tip: Top with additional walnuts for a crunchier effect.

I'm baking this cake now Ruchira .. hope this too comes out well !!! kept on Convection mode 250 degrees for 25 mins. or should I keep it for longer ??
