ABOUT Rice Crepes RECIPE

A popular Maharashtrian snack or main dish which regularly prepared in every household. Easy, quick to make, require less ingredients, it tastes amazing with coconut chutney or any veg, non-veg curry. Rice is a staple in India, cultivated in kokan, South region and eaten regularly in the form of boiled rice, bhakari, kheer, pole or ghavan, ladoo etc.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Rice (Dosa rice) – 2 cups, Soaked overnight
  2. Fenugreek seeds- 1 tbsp.
  3. Salt as per taste
  4. Oil – 2-3 tbsp.
  5. Water as required

Instructions

  1. Soak rice and fenugreek seeds overnight. Drain excess water. Blend rice and fenugreek seeds with adequate water to form smooth batter
  2. Add salt and water to adjust the consistency of batter
  3. In a nonstick pan drizzle oil and spread all over. Pour a ladle full or two, batter evenly in a circular motion into round shape.
  4. Cover it with a lid for 4-5 seconds. Remove plate and flip it when the edges begin to rise from the pan. Cook it from other side too.
  5. Serve hot with coconut coriander chutney or tea, coffee.
