ABOUT Buffvada RECIPE

Delicious buffwada is a stuffed vadas. Stuffing made from green peas and green spices. Outer cover made from potatoes and corn flour.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. For stuffing :-
  2. Green peas 1 cup / 250 grams
  3. Green chili 4
  4. Ginger 1 inch
  5. Chopped green garlic 1/2 cup
  6. Chopped coriander leaves 1/2 cup
  7. Lemon 2 tsp
  8. Sugar 2 tbsp
  9. Dhaniya jeera powder 2 tbsp
  10. Salt 1 tsp
  11. Garam masala 1 tbsp
  12. Oil 2 tbsp
  13. Jeera 1/4 tsp
  14. Rai 1/4 tsp
  15. Hing 2 pinch
  16. Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
  17. Chopped cashew 7-8
  18. Raisins 1 tbsp
  19. For covering
  20. Boiled potatoes 4
  21. Salt 1/2 tsp
  22. Corn flour 1 cup
  23. Oil for deep frying

Instructions

  1. Crush peas in chili cutter.
  2. Add green chili and ginger and crush it well.
  3. Heat oil in kadai , splutter jeera and rai
  4. Add hing and turmeric powder. Mix well
  5. Add green garlic and saute for a minute.
  6. Add crushed peas mixture. Mix well. Saute for 2 minutes
  7. Add sugar, dhaniya jeera powder and salt. Mix well
  8. Add lemon juice and mix well.
  9. Cook for 2-3 minuted ,add coriander leaves, garam masala and mix well
  10. Add cashew and raisins . Mix and cook for 5 minutes.
  11. Allow stuffing to cool to room temperature.
  12. In a bowl , add boiled potatoes, salt and corn flour.
  13. Mix and knead soft dough
  14. Make small balls from stuffing mixture.
  15. Make balls from potatoes mixture.
  16. Now stuff the green mixture ball in potato ball and seal properly
  17. Heat oil for deep frying
  18. Drop balls in hot oil and deep fry until golden brown
  19. Drain excess oil on kitchen towel and transfer to serving plate
  20. Now buffvada is ready serve it with green chutney and sweet chili sauce.
