Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. For the dough-
  2. Maida - 1/2 cup
  3. Besan - 1/2 cup
  4. Spinach puree - 3 tablespoons
  5. Red chili powder - 1/4 teaspoon
  6. Turmeric powder - 1/4 teaspoon
  7. Hing - 1 pinch
  8. Salt - to taste
  9. Hot oil - 2 tablespoons
  10. Water - as required
  11. Oil to grease - 1 teaspoon
  12. For stuffing -
  13. Desiccated coconut - 1/2 cup
  14. Red Chili Powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  15. Sugar - 1 tablespoon
  16. Turmeric Powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  17. Dry mango powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  18. Fennel seeds - 1 teaspoon
  19. Coriander powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  20. Cumin powder - 1/4 teaspoon
  21. Sesame seeds - 1 teaspoon
  22. Poppy seeds - 1 teaspoon
  23. Garam masala - 1/4 teaspoon
  24. Salt - to taste
  25. Other Ingredients-
  26. Maida - 1/4 cup
  27. oil - 3 tablespoons
  28. Oil - for frying

Instructions

  1. Add all ingredients except oil mentioned under dough section in a bowl. Mix well
  2. Now add hot oil. Knead mixture into stiff dough
  3. Coat dough with oil and keep it aside for 15 minutes.
  4. Grind all the ingredients mentioned under stuffing to smooth paste
  5. Divide the dough into 4 equal parts. Shape them into balls.
  6. Roll them into chapatis
  7. Brush surface with oil.
  8. Spread the prepared stuffing evenly over the chapati.
  9. Roll it very tightly. Seal the edges and cut it in the 2 centimeters long.
  10. Gently press each roundel
  11. Deep fry the Bhakarwadis until golden brown over medium heat
  12. Drain excess oil on a kitchen towel.
  13. Serve with tea and enjoy.
