ABOUT BAKED WHOLEWHEAT MASALA CRACKERS RECIPE

Try out these delicious and healthy baked masala crackers made with wholewheat flour.These taste like mathris and are good to serve as a tea-time snack.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Wheat flour .. 1 cup
  2. Red chilli flakes .. 1/4 tsp
  3. Crushed cumin seeds ... 1/2 tsp
  4. Crushed black pepper corns .. 1/2 tsp
  5. Salt ... to taste
  6. Butter or ghee .... 1 tbsp

Instructions

  1. Take the wheat flour in a large bowl. Mix all the ingredients well.
  2. Knead the dough using warm water.
  3. Roll out the dough with a rolling pin. Do not use dry flour for dusting. You may use some ghee instead to make the rolling easy.
  4. Cut out any shape using a pizza cutter or cookie cutters.
  5. Place them on a greased baking tray and pierce with a fork to avoid bubbles.
  6. Bake them in a pre-heated oven until golden brown and crisp.( It takes about 20 - 22 mins in the medium setting - 200 degrees C )
  7. Cool them and store in an air tight container.
