ABOUT Mango Lassi RECIPE

Lassi is a yogurt based drink that is either sweet or spicy ( I have posted the spicy version here) mostly famous in North India but now made almost all over the world.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 2 cups of freshly chopped mango pieces (about 3 to 4 medium sized mangoes)
  2. 2 cups of chilled full fat fresh curd/yoghurt (you can use low fat too it’s your choice)
  3. A pinch of saffron strands
  4. 4 tbsp sugar (you can use honey if you want to avoid sugar)

Instructions

  1. Wash and peel the mangoes and chop them. In a blender or mixer, puree the mangoes with sugar or honey and saffron. Now add in the chilled curd/yogurt.
  2. Blend it for a few seconds till everything is mixed well and the yogurt has become smooth. Note that if you want a slightly thin consistency, then add some milk to the mango lassi while blending.
  3. Pour this mango lassi into glasses and serve.
