Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Soya chunks - 200 gms
  2. Onions - 2 to 3
  3. Tomatoes - 2
  4. Ginger
  5. Garlic - 10 florets
  6. Tej patta - 2
  7. Cashew nuts - 10
  8. Jeera - 1/2 tspn
  9. Black cardamon -2
  10. Pepper powder - 1 tspn
  11. Dhaniya powder - 1 tspn

Instructions

  1. Soak the soya chunks in hot water.
  2. Heat oil in kadhai, add onions, ginger, garlic and stir till they turn translucent.
  3. Add the cut tomatoes and cook they turn soft.
  4. Switch off the flame, let it cool and grind in mixer to form a paste.
  5. Take the soya chunks and squeeze it to remove water from it. Stir fry them in little oil to remove moisture.
  6. Heat oil, add the black cardamom, tej patta, chillies, cumin seeds.
  7. Add haldi and chilli powder and stir well. It gives a good color to the dish.
  8. Add the prepared paste, mix well, add dhaniya powder, pepper powder.
  9. Once it gets brown, add water, cook for 2 min.
  10. Add the fried soya chunks, salt and mix well. Cook for 5 min.
  11. Lower the flame, add the garam masala, fresh cream and switch of the flame.
